Endings and Beginnings: Thursday’s Children

Endings to things we love are always bittersweet, whether it’s a book series whose characters are firmly rooted in our hearts and mind, a vacation we’ve longed for and finally taken, or a weekly blog hop that’s fostered inspiration and friendships alike.

Today is the last Thursday’s Children, a group of extraordinary and talented authors sharing the joys and hardships of their remarkable writing journey. This is my farewell to you:

You’ve made me laugh out loud and wipe away silent tears. I’ve cheered for you, shared your dreams and excitement, and understood perfectly your strange and splendid thoughts. You’ve left me breathless and humbled. You’ve inspired me.

I’ll miss you, Thursday’s Child.

But without endings, there are no beginnings. So I’d like to thank Rhiann and Kristina for hosting Thursday’s Children and bringing us all together, and wish you all the best with your new projectβ€”the CriTiki Lounge! A beginning I look forward to with a smile.

  • Aw, way to make me cry… I know we’ll all remain Thursday’s Children in spirit. And if someone wants to resurrect it and take on “operations”, I’d still post, just not every week πŸ˜‰

    • *passes tissue* We will–I’ll never see Thursday as just another day of the week anymore πŸ™‚

  • Bittersweet is the perfect word. But at least we can keep track of each other on Twitter and maybe continue the Thursdays Children tradition just without the linky thing πŸ™‚

    • Maybe so! And Twitter for sure!! πŸ™‚

  • Well said Kate!

  • Are you trying to make me cry?
    Cuz it’s working.
    Beautifully said, Kate.
I think I’ll always feel connected to my fellow Thursday’s Children. Even though, I was horribly inconsistent in posting. I wish nothing but the best for you all.

    • Aww! <333 I didn't always post as well, but every Thursday I thought of everyone. ((hugs)) you back!

  • *verklempt*

It’s been real, Kate! I look forward to staying in touch on The Twitter. Great post!

    • Thanks, Laura πŸ™‚ And absolutely YES. <33

  • Thanks so much for being a part of Thursday’s Children. We’ll miss you, too! Hope to see you at the CriTiki lounge!

    • It was fun! And I’ll be at the lounge πŸ™‚
